These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings and treatments provided by Arcane Skin. By making a booking with Arcane Skin, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
-
Arcane Skin is a skin and aesthetics business based in Cheltenham, England.
Business/legal name: Arcane Skin
Address: 29 Duke Street, Cheltenham, GL52 6BS
Email: hello@arcaneskin.co.uk -
Arcane Skin provides professional skin and aesthetic treatments as described on our website and booking system.
Available treatments, prices, treatment durations and any applicable requirements will be stated on the relevant service page or booking system.
Treatment recommendations are based on the information available to us at the time of consultation and are intended to support your skin goals. No particular result can be guaranteed.
-
A consultation and completion of the required consultation information may be necessary before treatment.
You must provide accurate and complete information relevant to your treatment, including information about:
Medical conditions;
Medication;
Allergies;
Skin conditions;
Previous treatments;
Current skincare;
Pregnancy or breastfeeding where relevant; and
Any other information reasonably requested to assess treatment suitability.
If relevant information is withheld or inaccurate, Arcane Skin cannot be responsible for consequences arising from that omission.
Arcane Skin may postpone or decline a treatment where it is considered unsuitable or unsafe to proceed.
Where appropriate, we may recommend that you seek advice from a GP, pharmacist or other suitably qualified healthcare professional before treatment.
-
Where patch testing is required by the product, treatment protocol, manufacturer, insurer or Arcane Skin’s professional assessment, it must be completed within the required timeframe before treatment.
A successful patch test does not guarantee that a reaction will not occur.
-
Before treatment, you may be asked to confirm that:
The treatment has been explained to you;
You have had the opportunity to ask questions;
You understand the relevant risks and expected after-effects;
You have disclosed relevant information;
You understand the aftercare requirements; and
You consent to the treatment.
Treatment consent does not remove your statutory consumer rights.
-
Skin responds differently from person to person.
Although Arcane Skin will use appropriate professional techniques and products, individual treatment results cannot be guaranteed.
Some skin concerns may require a course of treatments and/or consistent home skincare.
We will not make claims that a treatment will produce a particular result where that result cannot reasonably be guaranteed.
-
Prices are subject to change, but the price applicable to an appointment already booked will normally be the price confirmed at the time of booking, unless otherwise agreed.
Payment must be made using the payment method offered at the time of booking or treatment.
Where a deposit or prepayment is required, the amount and applicable terms will be displayed before payment is made.
-
Clients are responsible for attending at the agreed date and time.
Please arrive on time so that your full treatment can be provided safely and without unnecessarily affecting subsequent appointments.
Arriving late may reduce the treatment time available. Where the appointment can no longer be completed safely or within the allocated time, it may need to be treated as a cancellation or rearranged appointment in accordance with the Cancellation policy.
-
Our Cancellation policy forms part of these Terms & conditions.
Please see the separate Cancellation policy for details of notice periods, deposits, rearrangements and missed appointments.
Nothing in the Cancellation policy affects any statutory rights you may have.
-
Arcane Skin may need to cancel or postpone an appointment in circumstances including:
Illness;
An unexpected emergency;
Equipment failure;
Product or supply issues;
The treatment becoming unsuitable;
A safety concern; or
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where Arcane Skin cancels an appointment, we will offer an appropriate alternative date where possible or refund any payment for services that have not been provided, subject to your legal rights.
-
Arcane Skin reserves the right to refuse or postpone treatment where there is a reasonable professional or safety-related basis for doing so.
This may include where:
A contraindication is identified;
Required information has not been provided;
Required patch testing has not been completed;
The client’s skin is not suitable for the proposed treatment;
The client appears unwell or otherwise unsuitable for treatment; or
Proceeding would be inconsistent with professional, manufacturer or insurance requirements.
Where a treatment cannot reasonably proceed, we will explain the reason and, where appropriate, discuss alternative options.
-
Clients are responsible for following the aftercare instructions provided following treatment.
If you experience an unexpected or concerning reaction following treatment, contact Arcane Skin as soon as reasonably possible and seek appropriate medical attention where necessary.
-
Arcane Skin is committed to providing a safe, respectful and professional environment.
Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour towards Arcane Skin or others will not be accepted.
Where necessary, an appointment may be terminated or future bookings declined.
This does not affect your statutory rights or your right to make a genuine complaint.
-
Photographs may be taken as part of treatment records where appropriate.
Marketing use of identifiable photographs requires separate permission and is not automatically included within treatment consent.
-
We aim to ensure that information on the Arcane Skin website is accurate and up to date.
Website content is provided for general information and does not replace an individual consultation or professional assessment.
We may update, amend or remove website content without notice.
-
Unless otherwise stated, content on the Arcane Skin website, including branding, text, graphics, photographs and original materials, belongs to Arcane Skin or is used with permission.
You may not reproduce, copy or commercially use Arcane Skin content without prior written permission.
-
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.
Nothing limits your statutory consumer rights.
Arcane Skin will provide services with reasonable care and skill.
-
If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we can investigate and respond.
Please see our separate Complaints policy.
-
Your personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy policy.
-
We may update these Terms & conditions from time to time.
The Terms applicable to your booking will be those available at the time you make your booking, unless a change is required by law or otherwise agreed with you.
-
These Terms & conditions are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects any rights you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
